Following 2022's highly successful symposium "Action Today, Stronger Tomorrow", we held our First Binational Conference on the beautiful Caribbean Island of the Dominican Republic.

1st Annual Latino Wellness Festival

This event was designed to promote personal wellness within the Latino community and will feature a variety of activities including food trucks, music, vendors, children's games, face painting, mental health, behavioral issue, and clinical lab resources.

7th LBHC Symposium (2022)

ACTION TODAY, STRONGER TOMORROW
This symposium provided learning resources and networking opportunities for anyone whose focus is to engage consumers and/or staff and employees around behavioral health and social issues. The overarching goal of this year's symposium was to align criteria, resources and skills to improve the lives of all Philadelphians.

6th LBHC Symposium (2018)

¿QUE ESTÁ PASANDO PHILLY? A TRAUMA-INFORMED CALL FOR ACTION TO FIGHT THE OPIOID CRISIS

This symposium presented an opportunity to continue the conversation about the socio-economic problems around Gurney Street, the impact of Air-Bridge, the behavioral and emotional impacts, and the increasing amount of overdoses and lives lost in Philadelphia.

5th LBHC Symposium (2015)

BUILDING A PATH OF COMMUNITY INTEGRATION TOWARDS WELLNESS FOR LATINOS

The 2015 Latino Behavioral Health Symposium focused on having participants increase their awareness of cultural nuances, beliefs, and experiences of the Latino populations and how they impact behavioral and emotional health at the individual, family and community levels.

4th LBHC Symposium (2014)

BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS FOR LATINOS ACROSS THE LIFESPAN

The focus of this symposium was on understanding the epidemiology of mental illness, evidence-based practices, and outcomes. Participants were geared to clinically applicable algorithms, including an in-depth look at the current literature on new patterns of mental and emotional health issues in the Latino population and cultural competence on Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Resilience, and Recovery. 

3rd LBHC Symposium (2013)

BEYOND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH: LIFE EN EL BARRIO

This symposium focused on understanding and delve into the mental and emotional health issues that are faced by the Latino communities and, as service providers, work towards effective ways to understand, support, and offer services to the community that is strengths-based, use best practices and, focus on recovery and resiliency.

2nd LBHC Symposium (2012)

TRANSFORMING BEHAVIORAL HEALTH: THE LATINO PERSPECTIVE AND EFFORT

This symposium addressed the challenge and the problem of Mental Health among the Latino community and included topics such as Cultural Elements in Treating Latino populations and Growing up in a Latino Community. This symposium offered an opportunity for regional consumers, caregivers, professionals, managers and academics and researchers to share ideas, access professional development opportunities, and engage in networking and debate. 

1st LBHC Symposium (2011)

DEVELOPING SKILLS & DELIVERING QUALITY

The 1st Latino Mental Health Coalition’s symposium focused on the epidemiology of mental illness, evidence-based outcomes, and clinically applicable algorithms, including an in-depth look at the current literature on new patterns of mood disorders in the Latino population and cultural competence on Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Recovery among Latinos/as.
